Not only is it important to understand and follow your personal “why”, it’s extremely important for organizations and teams to establish one. Simon Sinek defines “why” as: “The compelling higher purpose that inspires us and acts as the source of all we do.” Sinek encourages everyone to share their why with their teams, particularly as leaders, to understand each other’s purpose and how to apply to the team.
