We know that vision is an important component of inspirational leadership, but Dr. Peter Fuda proposes that a well-articulated vision alone will leave a gap between your “aspirations” and your “impact.” In his white paper, he presents evidence that this gap exists, and he identifies the eleven levers available to leaders to improve their impact. A leader must be willing to ask themselves the following questions: “How would you like to motivate and encourage others to behave? How do you actually motivate and encourage others to behave? And if there is a gap between the two, which there almost certainly will be, how committed are you to close it? This is the concept of leadership impact.”
